Combative Pocket PistolsSeptember8th & 9th2012Dave Spaulding(2 days, 600 rounds). A wise instructor once said, “We talk .45’s, shoot 9mm’s and carry .38’s.” Today we can easily add .380’s to this statement! The truth of the matter is people do not want to be saddled with “full size fighting handguns” and continually seek smaller guns that are easy to carry with little fuss. While the truly prepared individual should question this trend, it would be silly to ignore it. This course is designed to address this reality and will teach the student how to apply the fundamentals of combative pistolcraft to pocket pistols and snubby revolvers. Modes of carry and drawing from various unconventional concealment locations will also be addressed. They might not be “optimal” but at least they are a gun that most will carry. Not to be considered a �class for dummies�; CPF is an excellent course to begin the journey into the world of combative pistolcraft. The majority of this one day program is spent mastering the most fundamental of fundamentals (or essential of essentials!?) of trigger control. When combined with a solid grip and body position, shooting the combative pistol is easier than many would have you believe.
